Key Intervention / Focus Area

IPM, plastic tunnels, home garden commercial agriculture,, promote environmentally friendly technologies –ICS, small-scale drip-irrigation systems, water source protection , DRR/CCA, low-cost recharge pond, awareness activities ,social audit, review, GESI, WASH, organic vegetable and off-season vegetable production, vegetable crop management, HVC promotion and marketing, nutrition, women empowerment, citizen awareness, chaupadi reduction, advocacy and governance, prevention of domestic and women violence, construction.

 Description Of Program/ Project

Water sanitation, hygiene, nutrition and health: 

  1. Pre-feasibility study, survey, design and construction of 14 drinking water and sanitation scheme completed.
  2. Day celebration (world hand washing sanitation week celebrated, world water day, menstrual hygiene day)
  3. Developed multipurpose plan, conducted integrated improved sanitation and hygiene campaign.
  4. Implemented of water security plan, Establishment of WASH board.
  5. Formulation of WASH Plan, tole, declaration of three stars in schools.
  6. Drinking water committee formation 
  7. Capacity development training conducted. 
  8. W-WASH-CC formation and work plan designed.
  9. Prepared water safety play of each project.
  10. Prepared water use Master plan (WUMP)
  11. 5 Constructed Multiple use of water system (MUS) 

Livelihood: 

  1. Homestead management, commercial vegetable cultivation, 
  2. Establishment of multi-purpose nurseries, basic nursery training, lead farmer training, expansion of pocket areas, construction of poly houses 
  3. Linkage farmers with cooperatives for marketing and assistance of drip irrigation.

Disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation: 

  1. Construction of recharge ponds, conservation of water resources.
  2. Plantation and construction of water safety plan (disaster-friendly drinking water). 
  3. Multi-use water management, promotion and expansion of grass cultivation, promotion of climate-friendly crops.
  4.  Conducting capacity development programs at the community, school and municipal level related to climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction.

Capacity Building: 

  1. Social mobilization, water safety plan training, drinking water sanitation hygiene management and sanitation training, conducting a complete cleaning program, maintenance fund training, mother stream group orientation, public audit training. GESI training.
