Project Objectives:Empowered and inclusive communities, especially women, persons with disabilities, Dalits, Janajati, poor people, and other marginalized groups, exercise their health rights and advocate for more affordable, quality, and inclusive health services and responsive social protection for diverse community needs.

Focus Areas:Rights-based health access; MNCH and nutrition; reproductive, adolescent, and mental health; harmful traditional practices (HTPs); access to social protection schemes; inclusive local governance and municipal planning; social determinants of health through multi-sectoral coordination.

Key Strategies :

·       Localization and community ownership through GEDSI champions

·       Parallel-track governance strengthening (community demand and system response)

·       Multi-sectoral collaboration across health, nutrition, education, and sanitation

·       Targeted school, gender, and intergenerational health dialogues

·       Evidence-based advocacy using disaggregated community data

Key Approach:Rights-based, participatory, and GEDSI-responsive approach linking community empowerment with accountable local governance and sustainable institutionalization.

Major Activities:

·       Inception workshops and baseline assessments on health rights and civic engagement

·       Community health awareness campaigns on MNCH, nutrition, SRHR, and social protection

·       School Health Dialogues, Mother Group Health Dialogues, and Youth Health Clubs

·       Intergenerational and gender dialogues to address Chhaupadi, child marriage, and discrimination

·       Health Solution Forums linking communities with municipal planning and budgeting (AWPB)

·       Capacity building of GEDSI champions, Ward Health Committees, and municipal staff

·       Multi-sectoral determinants mapping and committee mobilization for health and nutrition

·       Promotion of birth registration, health insurance, and social security enrollment
